Seamless Steel Pipe
Seamless pipe, as the name suggests, is a pipe without a seam or a weld-joint. Seamless Steel Pipe is made from a solid round steel ‘billet’ which is heated and pushed or pulled over a form until the steel is shaped into a hollow pipe. A seamless steel pipe is a circular pipe having a hollow section and no seams around it. The seamless steel pipe is made of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel ingot or solid tube blank, and then is made by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing. Seamless pipes are considered superior to welded pipes as they are built using monolithic steel billets, with intrinsic mechanical strength, without seam welds.

Cold Drawn Seamless as implied is made by cold drawing a larger mother seamless pipe, which is generally manufactured through a HFS process. In the Cold Drawn Seamless process, the mother pipe is pulled through a die & plug in cold without any heating. Because of the tool on outside and inside the surface and tolerances are better in Cold Drawn Seamless. While this is an additional process over HFS, it is necessary to get smaller size pipes which otherwise cannot be manufactured in HFS. Some applications which require close tolerances and smooth surfaces also specify the requirements to be necessarily Cold Drawn Seamless.Cold Drawn Seamless pipes & tubes are extensively used in Heat-Exchanger, Bearing & Automotive sectors.
Cold drawn seamless steel pipe is used for the mechanical structure, hydraulic equipment ,which is have precision size ,good surface finish.It can greatly reduce mechanical processing hour and improve material utilization, and to improve the quality of products. High quality of cold draw seamless steel pipe are mainly use the 10# 20#.In addition to ensure chemical composition and mechanical properties,it will check by Hydrostatic test,crimping,flared and Squashed test.

The hot expanding steel pipe is hot expanded seamless pipes, which is relatively low density but the contraction of the strong steel pipe (seamless pipe) can be referred to as thermal expansion. A process of skew rolling or drawing method to expand the pipe diameter. Steel pipe thickening in a short period of time, can produce non-standard and special types of seamless tubes with low-cost and high production efficiency, the current international developments in the field of tube rolling.
Hot expand pipe is by expanding the diameter of pipe to finish processes – thermal expansion process of the production of steel pipe. Hot expansion pipe are commonly referred to hot expanded seamless steel pipes.
