Boiler Tube

GB 3087 Seamless Boiler Tubes

GB 3087 standard is applicable to the manufacture of high-quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled (extruded, expanded) and cold drawn (rolled) seamless steel tubes for various structural low-pressure and medium-pressure boilers and locomotive boilers.

GB 3087 grade 10 seamless steel pipe is mainly used for manufacturing heating surface of industrial boiler, with working pressure ≤ 5.9mpa
When GB 3087 grade 10 is used as heating surface pipe, the maximum wall temperature ≤ 480 ℃, and when GB 3087 grade 10 is used as header and steam pipe, the maximum wall temperature ≤ 430 ℃.

 Testings
(1)Hydraulic test
The steel pipe should be hydraulically tested one by one.
(2)Flattening test
Steel pipes with an outer diameter of more than 22mm to 400mm and a wall thickness of not more than 10mm shall be subjected to a flattening test.
(3)crimping test
Grade 10 steel tubes will be subjected to the crimping test.
(4)Flaring test
The steel pipe with a wall thickness of not more than 8 mm can be subjected to a flare test with a top taper of 30°, 45° or 60°.
(5) Bending test
Steel pipes with an outer diameter of not more than 22 mm will be subjected to a bending test
(6)Non-destructive testing
According to the requirements of the purchaser, the steel pipe will be ultrasonically tested one by one.

Surface quality
The inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe do not have cracks, folds, creases, crusting or separation, and these defects should be completely removed. The clearance depth shall not exceed the negative deviation of the nominal wall thickness, and the actual wall thickness at the cleaning site shall not be less than the minimum allowed by the wall.

Process performance
(1) Forging and rolling
GB 3087 grade 10 steel has good pressure processability. The initial rolling temperature is 1200-1280 ℃, and the final rolling temperature is 800-850 ℃, which can be cooled by air after rolling (forging).
(2) Cold working
GB 3087 grade 10 steel has excellent plasticity, which can be pulled down, punched, locally upset and expanded in cold state.
(3) Heat treatment
GB 3087 grade 10 seamless steel pipe is generally used in hot rolling state, and cold drawn (rolled) steel pipe is used in heat treatment state. Normalizing heat treatment is often used, and the normalizing temperature is 900-940 ℃.
(4) Welding
The weldability of GB 3087 grade 10 steel is good, and it generally has no hardening tendency. When it is suitable for welding and manufacturing boiler heating surface parts by various welding methods, it usually adopts manual welding or gas shielded welding and other welding methods. E4303 (J422) and e4315 are often used for manual welding. No preheating before welding and no heat treatment after welding.
